La valorisation des zones humides : volonté ou contrainte ?

Abstract : Wetlands are reserve of biodiversity. They perform many hydrological and filtering functions, welcome a rich fauna and flora. However, they are misunderstood by local population and unfortunately subject to deterioration and destruction. Currently, a strict regulation is programmed to preserve and enhance these environments. This regulation wishes improve consideration of these ecosystems in country planning. In this paper, we present two options of wetland enhancement, illustrated by two projects: the creation of a conservatory space and the design of a learning path. Then we discuss about integration of wet-land’s valuation in landscape project and how the landscape designer works with these spaces. This last analysis is approached through the “Pre-Petit” project. We also discuss about technical management and wetlands maintenance.
