Faut-il favoriser l’expérimentation individuelle ou en groupe au sein de classes peu chargées dans l’enseignement des sciences physiques pour optimiser l’acquisition des connaissances et des savoir-faire de l’ensemble des élèves ?

Abstract : We have decided to settle into two different classes a sequence about the electricity to answer to the following question : Is teamwork more positive than individual manipulation during the implementation of the scientific investigation? We have therefore compared the obtained results to diagnostic and summative assessments from two samples. On one side, a class divided into groups of 4 pupils, and, on the other side a reduced number of 8 students, who are experiencing individually. We have noted that pupils who have worked groups show a clearer progression on know-how, while the individual manipulation has been more relevant on knowledge.
