Approche clinique dimensionnelle dans les troubles fonctionnels et somatoformes

Abstract : Functional disorders are defined by clinical symptoms without lesional origin. They are described by medical specialty or psychiatry. It does not exist other models of understanding. The literature review found significant overlap between the different denominations of the functional register disorders that share common clinical features, risk factors, pathophysiology and treatment. The evaluation of patients with functional symptoms is then proposed. We found significant comorbidities between different functional syndromes and common risk factors. We discuss a lifetime dimensional model that would best describe these disorders, in a desire to go beyond the physical / psychological duality. This approach could allow to personalize the management of these patients, combining general practitioners, psychiatrists and specialists.
