Évolution récente de la couverture détritique des glaciers de la Région Autonome du Val d'Aoste

Abstract : Debris covered glacier evolution and glacier area evolution are actual interests. The study of 13 glaciers of the Aoste Valley (Italy) conducted with GIS and ortho-photographies has allowed us to distinguish different sediment responds to glacial retreat. The evolution of debris covered glaciers depend on ablation but also sedimental dynamics. Somes glaciers have known an increase of their debris pourcentage, even if the retreat of the tong has affected low elevations debris, because debris have increase their elevation. Some others glaciers haven’t compensate the lost of debris at the tong and their debris pourcentage have decrease.
