« Le patrimoine ici, c'est nous » : quartier de l'Abbaye, Grenoble

Abstract : Questioning what makes heritage means thinking heritage as a living organism that constantly evolves, integrates mutations and breaks in time and space. In fact, this reflection implies a strong anchoring and a field work. Looking for what makes heritage in the Abbaye means giving importance to the story of the uses, practices and memories of the inhabitants /site. These elements impregnated with emotions reveal the attachment of the inhabitants to their neighborhood. To respond to this, a methodological approach specific to the Abbaye has been put in place. This is based on the elements found in the field work such as the bibliographical inventory (books and films) which made it possible to compose the patrimonial corpus. Through this protocol, we reveal a multiplicity of elements that make heritage in the Abbaye in addition to the historical value of its buildings.
