Les perceptions du périnée par le dessin dans le post-partum, chez les femmes ayant eu une épisiotomie

Abstract : Objectives: The objective of this research is to evaluate by drawing the perceptions that women have about their perineum following an episiotomy. Methods: Qualitative observational monocentric study which is based on the analysis of two drawings per woman, among fifteen women in post-partum period, in a type III maternity of “Ile-de-France”. It took place from September 19th to December 20th. Results: Out of the fifteen patients, thirteen have drawn the labium majus and the vestibule of vagina. Half of them have drawn the clitoris foreskin and the labium minus. Five have drawn the anus and the urinary meatus. Nine women have drawn the episiotomy. The changes found on the perineum in the post-partum were the hollowness, the edema, the loosening, the modifications in sensations, the prolapse and the absence of changes. Conclusion: On the whole, there is a lack of knowledge about the perineum anatomy and the episiotomy among the women asked. Changes in the perineum perception have been observed in the post-partum and those modifications are not necessary linked to the episiotomy.
