Évaluation de la perception des professionnels de santé intégrant un pôle de santé pluriprofessionnel : l'exemple du pôle de santé de l’ex canton de Saint-Savin

Abstract : Introduction: with the multiplication of care homes and health centers, numerous studies have evaluated the expectations, motivations as well as the barriers to acceptance of healthcare professional regarding new way of operating. The first objective of this study is to analyze the perceptions of professionals on their new practices within a health cluster. The secondary objectives are to outline positive aspects in relation to primary missions, to identify human and organizational barriers and to compare them with literature data, to bring new and realistic proposals corresponding to healthcare professionals’ expectations. Method: a qualitative case study by semi-structured interviews has been conducted with healthcare professionals practicing within the health cluster of the former canton of Saint-Savin in Aquitaine. Results: 13 healthcare professionals were interviewed. This study highlighted an overall drive to improve patients’ care in semi-rural areas, increase the territory’s attractiveness as well as the desire to fight the desertification of the canton. The health cluster allowed health care professionals to work as a team, to have the opportunity to attend training as well as to gain a better communication between different professional thanks notably to the use of IT tools and the setting up of monthly meetings. The prevention dimension, therapeutic education and telemedicine were new directions that many of them were pleased to take especially as the NMR (new models of payments) provided a remuneration. Continuous care which was seen at first as barriers to acceptance began to be accepted with fewer constraints than initially expected. Teaching had just as much its place in this cluster and some hoped that it could become one day a place for research. Fruitful relationships seemed to be born without competition between healthcare professionals. Discussion: the development of this project cost me many hours of work and the results were just starting to be seen by the founders. To improve this healthcare system, they suggested to reduce the administrative tasks and to bring the other healthcare professionals together in order to allocate tasks judicially as well as become more efficient.
