Abstract : Though measles vaccine has been part of the French immunisation schedule since 1983, vaccination coverage remains too low for measles to be eliminated. Europe thus underwent an outbreak between 2008 and 2012, with 23 000 becoming ill in France only. A 2011 public relations campaign in Paris used real-time information displays in the public space for 1 month and mailing to occupationally-targeted city servants. We extracted from a city vaccination centres’ database the injections given to 142 018 centre-attending Parisians aged 18 to 30 in 2011, and to 13 185 city servants with health & child care services: analysis shows the campaign had a positive effect, with variability related to demographic characteristics, but was not enough to change the magnitude of a by far WHO-uncompliant coverage. 2-dose coverage of the young adults rose by a yearly 3 % between 2010 and 2012 compared to 0,6 % the years before, reaching 31 % in 2012; single-dose coverage settles down around 45 %. Yearly injections in 2011 & 2012 were thrice as many as in 2010; they mostly accounted for completion or complete realisation of the vaccination scheme, and mostly hit generations born from 1980 to 1984 (over 5 % of their size). Response was also specifically better among those with publicly-subsidised or without social insurance (around 25 % of them showed up). 1-dose coverage of the health/child care city servants rose from 16,5 to 19 % between 2010 and 2012 thanks to injections congregated in 2011 (14 times as numerous as 2010 injections), mostly accounting for first-dose scheme initialisations. Agents over 30, females and child care servants responded best.
