L’album de jeunesse, vecteur d’introspection inconsciente : comment appréhender au mieux ses émotions

Abstract : Understanding emotions is very important for the self-construction. Children, like adults, can feel lots of different emotions during the day depending on their environment. Learning about these transformations is necessary to allow children to grow and to realise that they are unique. Children’s literature, essential resource in class, allows to do lots of philosophical discussions, creating different introspective questionings. The study postulated that texts of youth literature allows children to better understand their feelings and to manage their emotions. The chosen emotions were: fear, anger, joy and sadness. Results are positive in the short term and can even be seen inside the classroom but it remained difficult for a few pupils. However, pupils managed to live more peacefully together, they speak more easily and overflows are controlled.
