Le jeu, un vecteur de communication en anglais

Abstract : Teaching languages took time to find its place within French primary school. For a long time, it has only been an awareness but languages have now become a teaching in its own rights. In current programs, we can notice the dominating character of oral and communicational skills, in particular during the first times of learning a new language. The context of this experimentation was the trigger of the research. The class studied showed a climate of installed confidence, numerous exchanges between all the actors of the class. However, it appeared that during the English sessions, oral production and communication were greatly reduced. A question then arises: how can games encourage the communication of pupils in English? To try to answer this question, the sequences implemented have involved games with various rules. Two working methods and their impact on communication were studied and analyzed. Finally, the notion of pleasure has also been an aspect of this study.
