Mesure du taux d'émission d'électrons secondaires d'une surface durant un bombardement électronique

Abstract : The first part of this dissertation presents the theoretical aspects multipactor phenomenon, which corresponds to a rapid increase in the number of electrons. We will see how the multipactor occurs, the consequences for the experience, and the main parameters which influence this phenomenon. This part of text introduces the secondary electrons yield and explains the importance of being able to measure it. The second part presents the work of several research laboratories studying and measuring the secondary electrons yield. We see mainly the methods and results of laboratory CERN and SLAC. The third part will present our experimental device designed to make measurements of secondary electrons yield. I will explain how has made the implementation experience and our work methodology, the problems we encountered, and finally we will see the results we have achieved. The fourth part will take stock of the results. This will include return to the initial objectives. Finally, we will show how the production of this work can be considered a useful contribution. The conclusion will provide an update on the next steps for this manipulation, seeing what should be done in the relatively near future, and what might be possible in the longer term.
