Les perspectives dans la prise en charge thérapeutique de l'alcoolo-dépendance

Abstract : Alcohol misuse is very widespread in France. There are two interdependent types of alcoholisation : acute and chronic.. They both can lead to alcoholism. Actually, there are psychosocial cares, ajusted to the patient, and specific pharmacotherapies : disulfiram, acamprosate, baclofene, naltrexone and nalmefene. But they only have mixed results. The evolution of scientific and fondamental knowledges about the pathology lead to potential ways of treatment, especially in pharmacotherapy domain : topiramate, zonisamide, gabapentin, sodium oxybate, memantine, ivermectin, etc. Also, there is the possibility of using phytotherapy and homeopathy, and individualization of treatment methodology. This could improve the arsenal of treatment methods available.
