Comparaison des emplois et valeurs des passés simple et composé en français, espagnol d’Espagne et espagnol de Colombie

Abstract : This research studies the variation of the expression of the perfective by the form of the present perfect in French, peninsular Spanish and Colombian Spanish. Forty-two native speakers from the three countries cited previously responded to a written contextualized task, written in their mother tongue. The verbal form (preterit or present perfect) they selected in each questionnaire item was coded by four independent linguistic factors: presence of a temporal adverb (prehesternal, hesternal, today, absent), telicity (yes or no), iterativity (yes or no) and textual genre (tale or newspaper). A third option "I like both answers", was also proposed to the participants in order not to constrain them to choose one form or another. The results obtained consist of a thorough examination of the frequencies of choice of each verbal form as well as of the frequencies of the responses where participants responded "both". They suggest, different conditions of selection of present perfect to express perfectivity within the three populations questioned.
