Aptitude à la réhumectation de substrats horticoles en fonction des techniques d'irrigation utilisées

Abstract : Hydrophobicity is a potential risk for many substrates, especially peat-based substrates, and can lead to the degradation of their physical properties. In order to avoid this risk during cultivation, the aim of this work was to analyze the role of irrigation methods, initial moisture content, as well as the addition of wetting agent, coco and perlite in peat-based substrates. The ability to rewet of Irish and Baltic peats, composted pine bark, coco and perlite), with or without wetting agent, and different binary mixes was studied, from contact angle measurements, and Hydration Efficiency tests, with a modified procedure in order to analyze the role of irrigation methods.
