Évaluation des pratiques et connaissances du risque infectieux associé aux soins en cabinet de médecine générale dans le département de l'Orne basée sur les recommandations HAS de juin 2007

Abstract : Health care-associated infections in the city care sector are still insufficiently documented. The risk of Health care-associated infections increases with the development of outpatient care and alternatives to hospitalization in a health facility. In 2013, a questionnaire based on the HAS recommendations of June 2007 was sent by post to 225 general practitioners installed in the liberal sector in the department of Orne. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the knowledge and practices of hygiene in the general practice. The themes that appear to be well-mastered are the equipment of the medical office in water point and equipment, vaccinations of health professionals and waste management. The themes that remain to be acquired are: the respect of the standard precautions and in particular the hand hygiene by the use of hydro-alcoholic products, the disinfection and the sterilization of the medical equipment, the management of the accidental biological liquids exposure and the adequacy of the use of antiseptics according to care situations. The main obstacles to the adoption of the recommendations are the lack of initial and continuous formation, the low or moderate perception of the infectious risk, the lack of time and the cost and investment to comply with the recommendations.
