Les pieds sur terre, la tête dans les nuages… : l’étayage psychomoteur revisité par le jeu clownesque ! Expérience d’un atelier théâtre clown auprès d’adultes déficients intellectuels en foyer de vie

Abstract : When they make use of the elements necessary for clowning, the residents of the group home use resources needed for the development of their minds and bodies. Clown practice may thus be used in psychomotor therapy with intellectually disabled adults. Psychomotor propping up as described by Suzanne Robert-Ouvray (with four levels : tonus, sensoriality, affects and representations) is involved in clown practice through sensorimotor playing, which combines strong emotional, relational and symbolic aspects. The clown shakes up humans in their very foundations and identities. In psychomotor therapy, a specific framework would thus have to be created when working with adults for whom it may be difficult to symbolise and to distinguish between playing and reality, but also between what is « self » and « non-self ».
