Doit on s'intéresser au Syndrome d'Hyperémèse Cannabinoïde ? Une étude prospective de prévalence réalisée aux Urgences adulte de Marseille

Abstract : Aims: Chronic use of cannabis may be associated with uncontrollable vomiting and abdominal pain. Criteria diagnostics of cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome (CHS) have been describe by Simonetto and al in 2012. Objectives of study was to describe the prevalence of cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome the characteristics of patients and to show the difficulties to support the CHS in Emergency department, the importance of health consumption and a failing follow up in general practice. Procedure: It was a prospective cohort among people who consulted for abdominal pain without etiology found. Patient was included if they had a chronic consummation of cannabis associated with nausea and vomiting. Result: All the 48 patients in the cohort consumed cannabis each day, the CHS prevalence was 1.6% among the target population. The hot shower was the most effective care in 54.3% of cases. Number of visits (4.9 in average versus 3) and that of hours passed in hospital (11 versus 6.5) were more important for SHC patients than to others. 20.8% was hospitalized to continue the care. The follow up outside hospital was low and the weaning cannabis, unique etiological treatment, very difficult to set up. Conclusion: The medical care must be joint to be effective. Hot shower could be proposed at each visit. The recognition of CHS could be have an influence in medical background and will be considering by health policy.
