La mobilisation du foncier au service de la compensation écologique. Quelles solutions envisager ?

Abstract : The environmental mitigation provides ecological gains to compensate ecological damages caused by land developments. The objective is to reconcile the development of our society and the biodiversity conservation. The french law of 2016 about biodiversity brings new insights on this practice and strengthens its realization. Land is a major stake in the ecological compensation process. As it represents the physical support of the measures of the environmental mitigation program, it is necessary to find the accurate land to implement measures in favour of the environment. Land is also a way to guarantee the sustainability of the measures of compensation thanks to diverse means to secure land tenure. Various reflections are to be led to optimize land management with the purpose of sustainable development.
