Effets d’une carence en azote sur les modifications de la paroi lors du développement foliaire chez le colza

Abstract : Vegetative senescence is a crucial step to nitrogen remobilization, this allows to redistribute macroelements to seed and thus to obtain an optimal yield. Rape oilseed is an important economic crop but need a wild nitrogen fertilization. Thus, it is important to understand remobilization phenomena to limit the lose of this primordial element during leaf senescence. This study underlines the nitrogen impact on leaves cell wall during development, and their senescence. For these 2 genotypes had been used Aviso (nitrogen deficiency tolerant) and Express (sensible). Cell wall modifying enzymes activity (PGs, PMEs) rise during aging. Despite activity differences between Aviso and Express, the exhaustion of nitrogen not disturb this evolution. Rise of these activities agree with the cellular cohesion diminution during aging for leaves. Differences in minor cell wall sugar composition between leaf rank had been observed. These differences are most important for Express in lack of nitrogen, this could explain the sensitivity of this genotype. Modifications observed in pectic lateral chain (RG I and II) and hemicellulose (xyloglucan, heteroxylan) induce organization modification of these compounds in cell wall.
