Abstract : This academic essay aims to analyze the relation between Góngora’s poetry and music, focusing on his romances, which were written to be sung, or those two cycles of villancicos, edited by us, he wrote to also be sung at the Cathedral of Cordova in 1609 (Corpus) and in 1615-1616 (Christmas-Purification). As the original music sheets have not been preserved, we were obliged to examine those conserved and project their execution on the other case.
