Le FLE en Suisse alémanique : regards croisés autour de la variation dans l'enseignement du français à l'école obligatoire

Abstract : The implementation in 2017/18 of a new educational plan in the German part of Switzerland, inspired by multilingualism invites to consider the way varieties are now handled within the French as a Second Language classroom. The classroom is indeed a place where the representations of a number of groups meet - teachers, students, parents of students, but also those of the institutions - it is therefore a crossroad where one might observe the representations of the language norm(s). The newly implemented educational approach should indicate an evolutional shift in the representations of the standard language norm and contribute to weaken it, making it a place of variety and encouraging positive representations of varieties. We invite you to explore the representations of the various parties involved in three schools in a small Swiss German town.
