Évaluation de la prise en charge de la douleur après un accouchement par voie basse dans le post-partum au CHU de Caen

Abstract : We wanted to evaluate pain management in the postpartum period. We’ve done a quantitative cohort study at the maternity of Caen with selfassessment questionnaires, then we’ve done a retrospective study with an analysis of their medical records. Study patients were women who delivered vaginally. 99% of study patients were satisfied with the pain management at the maternity. 86% of patients indicated that they received pain killers whereas only a few of medications were recorded in their medical history. 97% of patients said that the nursing staff took interest in their pain but only a few of pain scales were recorded in their medical records. The traceability of records still needs to be improved.
