Abstract : The following essay pertains to walking as a psychomotricity act and the impact the aging process has on it. Walking is a motor behavior tied to interpersonal, and emotional needs as well as a innate urge for discovery. The ability to walk is closely linked to autonomy. With the following two presentations, I will illustrate the role psychomotricity plays in walking abilities.
