Effets de l’administration raisonnée d’oxytocine sur les hémorragies du post-partum immédiat : étude rétrospective avant-après au Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Grenoble Alpes

Abstract : Objectives – The main purpose was to compare the post-partum hæmorrhage rate before and the rational oxytocin administration protocol introduction. The secondary purposes were to compare, before and after the protocol set-up, the severe postpartum hæmorrhage rate and the directed labor rate. Mthods – Comparative before/after, retrospective, monocentric study conducted at Hopital Couple Enfant in Grenoble. Two groups were formed: a group “before” the publication of the service protocol and a group “after”. The main outcome measure was the occurrence of immediate postpartum hæmorrhage. Results – Immediate postpartum hæmorrhage rate was 4 % in the group “before” and 3 % in group “after”. The decrease was not significant (p = 0,62). Conclusion – No significant reduction in immediate postpartum hæmorrhage rates has been found since the rational oxytocin administration protocol introduction.
