Abstract : Introduction. Shift work has many effects on physical and mental health. The objective of this work was to make an inventory of the health problems associated transversally with the different working hours within the company NTN-SNR BEARING in order to raise awareness of managers and employees on the subject based on their own data, to better justify and target prevention efforts, thereby strengthening attention and adherence, in a more holistic perspective of health education and promotion. Method. An anonymous self-questionnaire was proposed to 1500 employees working in 2x8, night, day, or 12 hours. It explored cardiovascular risks, sleep disorders, psycho-social risks, difficulties in reconciling family and working life, as well as absenteeism. Results. 1250 employees answered (participation of 83%), allowing a very complete mapping of the measured variables, depending on the type of schedule. The smoking frequency is clearly linked to atypical schedules. Sleepiness and fatigue scores are worse in 2x8 and associated with difficulties in reconciling working and family life, as well as an imbalance in the effort / reward ratio. Among the actions carried out following this study, smoking cessation consultations were proposed and particular attention was paid to the link between sleep disorders, psychosocial risks and difficulties in reconciling family and working life in the 2x8 schedule mainly. Discussion. This study, which involved medical service, company management and CHSCT, helped to better understand the health of employees depending on work schedules, to raise awareness of these health determinants, and to guide prevention.
