La cellule musculaire dans l’asthme et rôle du pharmacien dans la prise en charge

Abstract : Asthma is a chronic and inflammatory disease which seriousness and frequency vary from one person to another. It is characterized by crises where respiratory difficulties are observed. Its causes are not all established but the smooth muscular cell plays a major role by having an action in the bronchial hyperactivity, in the inflammation and in the bronchial remodeling. These are the three pathophysiological components characterizing asthma. In France, yet nowadays, asthma is responsible for 600,000 hospitalizations per annum, due to a poor control over the disease and an inappropriate medication intake. In that context, pharmacist plays an important role in the patient care. Pharmaceutical interviews implemented in 2012 are in line with this direction, putting the pharmacist in the heart of the care pathway. They enable the leverage of the pharmacist’s knowledge entrusting him to new duties.
