Paysage-Itinérance : cas appliqué au Sentier Littoral de la Baie de Somme

Abstract : The coastal path is one of the most frequently used tourist itineraries. Its location, as close as possible to the shore, offers a discovery of exceptional landscapes. Through this encouragement to walk, it offers a new perspective on the landscapes travelled through and a new way to approach these unique territories, to manage and to build. This study proposes a new way of characterizing and analyzing landscapes associated to a specific mode of traveling through the concept of "Landscape-Travelling". This concept allows a linear study of landscapes through the point of view of the potential user of this itinerary. This study is based on an analysis of the landscape dimensions of the Baie de Somme’s coastal path, but it could be applied to all touristic or cultural routes.
