Profils moléculaires des cancers bronchiques non à petites cellules à La Réunion

Abstract : Background : In the lung cancer, the emergence of predictive biomarkers leading to the targeted therapy improved the prognosis of NSCLC patients. Population born in Reunion Island is a cosmopolitan and mixed race population. Molecular profile of NSCLC patients are not known since next generation sequencing. Method: This study is an observational, retrospective and multi-centric study. It includes the diagnostic of NSCLC in Reunion Island from the 1st january 2017 until 31 december 2018 with molecular analysis in University Hospital of Bordeaux. It aims at determining the frequence of histologic and molecular profile of NSCLC diagnosed in Reunion Island. Results: Of the 310 patients that suffered from NSCLC and had molecular analyse : 281 have adenocarcinomas (91%). 207 patients (66%) were born Réunion, 79 (25%) are never-smorkers and 109 are women (35%). Among them, mutations of EGFR were detected in 21%. 23% of adenocarcinomas, 40% of women, 55% of non-smokers and 23% of patients borned in Reunion Island have a mutation of EGFR. Conclusion: The population diagnosed in Reunion Island have high proportion of EGFR mutation. This high proportion reminds the one of the Indian populations and may be linked to the migration and the melting pot in Reunion Island. These findings suggest that there are interactions between genetic factors and environnement.
