Évaluation nationale du stress chez les étudiants en odontologie pédiatrique

Abstract : During their studies, dentistry students acquire theoretical and practical expertise that is required for children's care. However, clinically, pediatric dentistry can sometimes turn out to be difficult. Indeed, the student has to take the child's psychology into account, as well as a specific triangular relationship (dentist-child-parents). Therefore, students may go into those situations apprehensively. The goal of the work is to estimate, on a national scale, the students' stress perception. It would allow to identify the most anxiety-provoking situations at the academic clinic, regarding pediatric dentistry. A better understanding of students' feelings about pediatric dentistry could allow for pedagogic tools to be developed, that would lower their stress and therefore ensure a better care management for the children.
