Débat sur la question des êtres de là-bas de l’Antiquité à aujourd’hui

Abstract : Is the De Caelo book one, chapter 9 one of the Aristotelian texts which demonstrate the existence of beings beyond the fixed stars, that is to say beyond the limit of the Heaven? The question was first raised by Fabienne Baghdassarian in her article "De Caelo I, 9: the identity of the beings from there". Our statement will bring to light the problem around the notion of takei (contraction of ta ekei, meaning “the…from there”, “the things from there”) in order to recontextualize in the Aristotelian corpus and to analyse the diverse interpretations, reasonings regarding the meaning of this notion and the passage in which it appears.
