Apport des approches top-down dans l’amélioration de l’estime de soi de l’enfant dyspraxique en ergothérapie

Abstract : Introduction: Dyspraxia affects many children. The aim of this study was to know the contributions of top-down approaches to improve the self-esteem of dyspraxic children in occupational therapy. Indeed many dyspraxic children suffer from low self-esteem. This dissertation deals with dyspraxia, occuptional therapy and conceptual models in the first part. The second part develops the CO-OP approach, self-esteem concept and theory of needs. Method : A qualitative method was used. Four interviews were conducted with occupational therapists using a top-down approach in the care of dyspraxic children. Results : Top-down approaches show fast results, increase independence, which positively impact the self-confidence and self-esteem of dyspraxic children. Conclusion : Top-down approaches are emerging in France and their use seems relevant for dyspraxic children.
