Influences des parcours de vie sur l’engagement d’apprenants en reprise d’études

Abstract : This research focuses on the motivations and motivational obstacles of adults to engage in the Home Aid Supplemental Mention (HASM), at the GRETA of Loiret, and to pursue it. Then, the study is based on a qualitative methodology, based on interviews with 11 learners. The results show that the main source of motivation to engage in this training is the desire to care for and to care for others, and that the support of the family circles, friendly and professional allow these same adults to pursue it. On the other hand, the main obstacle to engage in this training is the complexity of the administrative procedures, especially when it is necessary to use the computer tool, and then, during the training, it’s organization and pace hinder the commitment of the latter. The aim of this research is to formulate proposals for training measures, while taking account of obstacles to motivation and increasing the motivational sources. Ultimately, this could improve the support of future adults in this training and thus strengthen their commitment.
