Mesure de l'impact à moyen terme de la prescription de sport dans le cadre du dispositif Chablais sport santé sur ordonnance

Abstract : The World Health Organisation acknowledges to physical exercise a major role in patients’ health. Physical exercise practice has a key role in preventing and treating non-communicable diseases. One quarter of the french population in 2019 has a chronical disease, and among the over 65 years-old population the proportion rises up to one third of the whole community. In order to face this trend, the WHO promotes the medical prescription of physical activities. The CSSO association’program was created in 2015. A previous study showed a better quality of life among its participants. The main goal of this study is to assess the continuity of physical exercise practice, among the patients included in the program during the past 1 or 2 years. The study includes all the patients who completed, entirely or partially, the program of the years 2016-2017. The inquiry followed the Marshall Questionnaire, a standard procedure to assess the physical activity level of patients. 135 patients were included in the CSSO program between January 1st 2016 and December 31st 2017.87 patients participated to this study. Their Marshall score was significantly improved (p<0.001) with a mean of 2.26 points. The mean of the Marshall score years after exiting the program was 3.32 (3.66 2yrs after and 2.87 1yr after). 50.6% of the patients included in the study practices an adequate physical activity (Marshall > 3).This study shows promising results for patients practicing physical activity after exiting the CSSO program. Additional studies with larger samples could prove the efficiency of the continuity of the CSSO physical activity program for the public health.
