Intérêts et limites de l'utilisation des silicates de calcium avec la technique mono-cône

Abstract : After many years of zinc oxide-based sealers usage for root canal filling, new formulations have recently been proposed including calcium silicate based sealers. Their improved properties compared to "conventional" sealers and the will to make root canal obturation easier and faster led to a paradigm shift updating the single cone technique and recommending hydraulic condensation with calcium silicate based sealers. This work aims to describe calcium silicate based sealers properties, to discuss the usage of these products with hydraulic condensation and to raise the potential issues related to this new approach.
