Motivation et estime de soi chez les élèves de SEGPA en classe de 4e et 3e

Abstract : This thesis focuses on two major concepts, self-esteem and motivation related to a specific audience, students of SEGPA. Through the study of the components of self-esteem and mechanisms of motivation, this research seeks to highlight the relationship between learners and learning activities in a second language. Firstly, a class observation process was set up to have a first approach of the students' involvement towards the tasks. Secondly, a questionnaire was given to them in order to have their perceptions about the nature of the task, oral or written, and its modality, individual or in group. Based on the theories mentioned beforehand, an analysis of the emotions expressed by the learners correlated with the elements found in class led to conclusions about these activities. The results provide the teacher with ideas in order to involve a greater majority.
