« Quand les formateurs jettent l'encre... » : sociologie d'une professionnalité en écriture(s)

Abstract : Trainer in a social work training establishment, I decided to invest my professional field and to conduct the survey among my fellow colleagues. How do social work trainers relate to writing? This question, which was the starting point of my research, led me to explore the writing practices of trainers in social work and more specifically, the articles they can produce outside of their working hours. Why engage in this kind of writing? What can lead social work trainers to write articles? And what are the repercussions of this writing on their professional environment, on their profession, on themselves? Through an inductive investigation which is part of a comprehensive sociological approach, I was able to highlight that the writing of these articles is far from trivial. This practice goes far beyond the scriptural gesture and constitutes an approach that allows social work trainers to assert their professionalism, to establish their legitimacy in an uncertain professional context and to write themselves the contours of a profession which still remains to be invented collectively.
