Facteurs de risque de perte d’indépendance fonctionnelle à un an d'une première consultation mémoire chez des patients de plus de 70 ans

Abstract : Purpose: loss of functional independence is an important marker of morbimortality in elderly people. The study objective is to identify risk factors of loss of functional independence (≥ 1 IADL) one year after a first consultation in Memory Center. Methods: it is a monocentric and retrospective study. Patients who had a first consultation in 2016 in the Gerontological pole of the Hospitalo-universitary center in Bordeaux and a second consultation one year later (+/- 3 months) were included. Results: 129 patients were included. In multivariate analysis, risk factors of loss of IADL were: major cognitive impairment (ex dementia) (ORa = 3,57, CI95% [1,33-9,57], p = 0,011) and a positive IADL laundry (ORa = 5,02, CI95% [1,61-15,63], p = 0.005), at the first consultation. Conclusions: major cognitive impairment and doing IADL laundry at the first consultation are risk factors of loss of functional independence one year after a first Memory Consultation.
