Perceptions des consommateurs liées à l’utilisation des objets connectés, des applications de santé et des dispositifs médicaux connectés : bénéfices ressentis et réticences associées à leurs utilisations

Abstract : The emergence of digital tools in the field of health offers new perspectives for R&D as well as for the improvement of the medical service. Recently Agnès Buzin announced the launch of a new platform: « The Health Data Hub ». It is a tool for the secure collection and centralization of medical data that can be made available to healthcare professionals who request it. On 4 April 2019, Inserm and start-up Owkin join forces to accelerate research in artificial intelligence for the benefit of health. These two announcements respond to the government’s growing desire to develop French artificial intelligence and to make France one of the major players in the field. Connected medical devices and healthcare applications go hand-in-hand with this momentum and are becoming more and more likely to become part of the healthcare landscape. According to François-André Allaert, many economists believe that the diffusion of Connected Objects and Health Applications will have a similar impact to what we have experienced with the development of the internet. The final objective of these approaches is to determine the benefits felt by users of health-related connected objects, as well as the reluctance, the obstacles and the possible fears associated with their use.
