Chérubisme et prise en charge orthodontique : revue de la littérature

Abstract : Cherubism is a rare genetic disease with autosomal dominant transmission caused by the mutation of the SH3BP2 gene on chromosome 4p16.3. This disease provokes cystic lesions localized specifically on the jaws during early childhood and until puberty and then spontaneously regress partially or completely. Many odontological consequences are reported in the literature, but few studies mention the place of orthodontic treatment within the management of patients suffering from this disease. The aim of this literature review is to study the literature around orthodontic management in patients with cherubism and to identify a therapeutic guide line.
