Les bases d’hébergements touristiques et de loisirs face aux enjeux environnementaux : le cas du Surfcamp

Abstract : This research paper examines the motivations and the environmental practices of surfcamps managers. Some actors in this sector have incorporated environmental considerations in their decision-making. But, are these practices the sign of growing demand for eco-friendly approaches, which trigger their unrestrained use as a marketing strategy? Are actors in the field of sustainable tourism really committed to the ecological transition? To ensure the objectivity of our research, we focus on outdoor activities centers managers. We analyze the results of a study conducted among four surf-camps located in France, in Morocco and in Nicaragua, in order to better understand the motivations of these managers in their personal and professional choices.
