Corps et psyche en dés-à-corps : quel peut être l’apport spécifique du psychomotricien en centre de rééducation et de réadaptation ?

Abstract : Body injuries not only lead to structural and physical trauma but also to mental trauma attacking the patient’s personal history and image. A body-mind pain can appear. Psychomotor therapists plays a key role in helping the patient through the rehabilitation process thanks to a deep knowledge and expertise on the psyche-soma relations. Based on psychomotor concepts such as muscle tone, body representations and on the relationship, patients are empowered to reconnect to their bodies and their environment. The psychomotor therapist also contributes in the adjustment of the therapeutic project in a multidisciplinary team.
