L'influence de l'essor de la technologie LED sur l'évolution des métiers de la lumière

Abstract : LED spotlights are the latest artificial light source technology. Over the last five years or so, they have been increasinglyused on film sets. The reason is simple: LED sources are more versatile than traditional lighting. They allow anautomatic change of colour temperature and are capable of emitting coloured light. They are also often much lighterand consume spectacularly less electricity than their predecessors. Is LED one of these innovations that are changingthe entire professional environment? To answer this question, we look at how lighting technicians are reacting to thisnew technology and how it is leading them to change their professional uses. The study explores the impact of thearrival of LEDs on industry-wide inter-professional relations, the effect of the massification of LEDs on the internalworkings of lighting teams, and finally its possible influence on the visual aesthetics of cinematographic works.
