Étude de l'influence de la lumière LED sur la production de fraises et de framboises en culture hors-sol

Abstract : In Switzerland, strawberries and raspberries are very popular. However, the traditional production of strawberries and raspberries is subject to several contraints. One of the most important challenges for growers is to mitigate production peaks in summer in order to have a more evenly distributed production over time. Currently, to mitigate these peaks, so-called remontant varieties are being used and the area of production on substrates and under shelter is increasing. Until now, the addition of artificial light has been little used in production in Switzerland for recasons of cost due to electricity consumption. In this study, we therefore propose to examine how the addition of LED light can improve production in terms of profitability and fruit quality by increasing the duration of daily lighting in the morning and evening. The study shows an improvement in yelds under LED light with a greater difference on strawberries than on raspberries. The quality of the fruit remains similar with production under LED light. Only the content of aromatic compounds seems to change with LED production. According to the study of power consumption and yelds, the use of LED light is not profitable un summer conditions. The continuation of the study into the autumn will make it possible to highlight the greater interest of LED light over season with less natural illumination.
