Les attentes des patients en Dermatologie à l'officine

Abstract : We conducted a prospective study over a period of 3 months, the main objective of which was to describe the expectations of patients during a dermatology advice given by the dispensary pharmacist. Our secondary objective was to determine the dermatological diseases and other reasons relating to the skin, which are the subject of the most frequent requests for advice to the pharmacy, in order to identify and suggest areas for improvement. To do this, we developed a standardized questionnaire submitted to three samples of the population: patients from the Pharmacie d'Aliénor in Le Porge, Internet users from the general public site of the French Society of Dermatology, dermato-info.fr, and a national sample representative via a “mailing list”. The results show that advice is expected in the majority of cases, associated with dispensing, with information relating both to the dermatosis and to the treatment prescribed or advised. Our three samples show substantially convergent results and provide a trend on the expectations of patients in pharmacy dermatology.
