Évaluation de l’impact du programme de télésurveillance « ETAPES » sur l’équilibre glycémique des patients diabétiques au sein du CHUGA

Abstract : INTRODUCTION: Telemonitoring is growing rapidly to improve the overall management of diabetic patients. The ETAPES experimental program was set up to evaluate the health benefits and health expenditures of telemonitoring in chronic diseases. The objective of our study is to evaluate the one-year metabolic impact of telemonitoring within the ETAPES experimental protocol at Grenoble Alpes University Hospital in a type 1 and 2 diabetic population treated with insulin. MATERIALS AND METHOD: Retrospective observational study. Inclusion of telemonitored patients, using MyDiabby platform, as part of the ETAPES program in the diabetology department at the CHUGA from May 2018 to May 2019. Inclusion in the ETAPES program for a minimum of 6 months, telemonitored over a maximum of one year. RESULTS: 65 patients were included. The analysis of the primary outcome was performed for 54 patients. After one year of follow-up, the decrease in HbA1c was significant (p=0.0278): at M0, the median HbA1c was 8.8% [8.2; 9.8] compared to 8.2% [7.2; 9.2] at M12. There was a significant drop in HbA1c after 6 months of telemonitoring (p=0.0055) with a median HbA1c of 8.4% [7.5; 9]. CONCLUSION: Telemonitoring allowed diabetic patients to enhance metabolic balance control at 12 months.
