Vin et santé : état de la question. Influence sur le système cardiovasculaire

Abstract : As an object of worship, as a miracle drug, wine has always been at the center of the culture of civilizations. After centuries of lending it all kinds of properties and virtues on health, the development of scientific methods and tools has allowed to prove some of them. While polyphenols are recognized antioxydants, alcohol has deleterious effects on a large number of functions of the human body, especially the cardiovascular system. Their association in wine seems to result in a beverage having, at recommended doses, no beneficial or harmful effects on this system. Indeed, polyphenols counterbalance the effects of alcohol, but meeting up and share a good bottle of wine brings all the rare pleasure that should not be overlooked.
