Évaluation des facteurs de risque reprotoxiques : recensement des sources de données en ligne

Abstract : Context: many employees may be occupationally exposed to reprotoxic risk factors. However, the prevention of reproductive risks remains difficult to implement in view of the wide variety of information media available. The aim of this study was to create a tool to identifying and describing online sources of help in assessing chemical reproductive risk. Methods: databases were identified by consulting bibliographical references and by querying a search engine. Databases were all queried using the same risk factors and were described in terms of accessibility and content. The information was collected in an Excel spreadsheet and organized in different sheets describing their characteristics. Results: 31 databases were identified, including 4 exposing data from European regulation and one source exposing data from American regulation. Respectively 19, 9, 7 and 4 sources were questionable by a CAS number, a sector of activity, a profession and a task, and 3 sources were specific to reproduction. Conclusion: this study made it possible to make an inventory of online sources of help in assessing chemical reproductive risk and to describe their content. The created tool will help the occupational health services in querying databases so that they can initiate reprotoxic risk prevention approaches. The development of an international repository of informations specifics to this field would facilitate this type of approach.
