La restitution collective : quels enjeux pour les élèves de cycle 1 ?

Abstract : This research focuses on story recall and reading-comprehension in nursery school and more specifically in the major sections. We wondered if telling several people could allow students to significantly develop their narrative skills in production and reception and beyond to gain more understanding of the text. By relying on the theoretical contributions of different didacticians, and in particular on tools from Narramus and the principles of the pedagogy of listening, we have adapted a sequence aiming at a collective restitution of history. Certain student formulations were analyzed in order to observe in detail the linguistic skills, the types of reformulation and the comprehension of the story, including the implicit text. The results of the study show us that group work is a lever for narrative rendering and understanding of the narrative. We will see that by confronting others and adopting an active listening posture, students can develop their thinking and engage in a reflexive language process.
