Traitement du « Burning Mouth Syndrome » par photobiomodulation à domicile : protocole d’étude

Abstract : Burning Mouth Syndrome is a chronic oro-facial disorder affecting 0.7 to 4.6% of the general population, characterized by a burning sensation of the oral mucosa in the absence of any clinical signs and abnormal laboratory findings.
As current therapies do not give satisfactory results, the use of laser photobiomodulation in the treatment of Burning Mouth Syndrome pain appears to be an interesting therapeutic alternative.
The aim of this work is to establish a study protocol to evaluate the effectiveness of home photobiomodulation treatment on the painful symptoms described by Burning Mouth Syndrome patients.
