Déhiscence osseuse sévère post traitement orthodontique sur une incisive mandibulaire. Étiologies et prise en charge : à propos d'un cas

Abstract : The wire syndrom has only been described for a few years and more and more cases are diagnosed each year. It requires for severe cases a multidisciplinary care, combining orthodontics and periodontology. The distinct but complementary objectives of these two disciplines tend towards obtaining a stable result. The aim of this work is to present a clinical case of an adult patient with a severe wire syndrome on a mandibular incisor and treated by the combination of orthodontics and periodontology. After a presentation of clinical and complementaries examination, indications of this multidisciplinary treatment are detailed and argued, in connection with data from literature. The treatment consists in lingual orthodontics and a periodontal plastic surgery of laterally and coronally displaced flap associated with a connective tissue graft. Post-treatment result is exposed and the management is analyzed in connection with scientifics data. This work presents a new clinical case concerning the diagnosis and the management of wire wyndrome.
